Over 20 Willis executives have moved to JLT to run its specie, fine art and jewellery division.

David Gordon will be chief executive officer of the division. He was previously global managing director, Willis fine art, jewellery and specie, and prior to that held senior roles at Marsh and Sedgwick.

Barry Vickery, a former executive director at Willis, also joins JLT Specialty.

“I am delighted to welcome David, Barry and all our other new colleagues to JLT Specialty. These individuals are widely recognised as being amongst the very best in their specialty area,” said John Lloyd, CEO of JLT Specialty.

“The fact that JLT has been able to attract them to join us is testament to our growing reputation as the world’s leading global specialty broker and as an organisation that offers its people a unique client focused culture. The addition of these talented individuals to our existing strong capabilities creates without a doubt the market-leading global business in the specie, fine art and jewellery sector.”

Gordon added: “I am delighted to be joining JLT Specialty, a broker with a reputation for prizing deep specialty knowledge, putting its clients first and its entrepreneurialism. I look forward to working with the whole JLT team to create bespoke solutions to meet our clients’ individual needs.”
