Whitmore to join Phillips as creative director

Damien Whitmore has been appointed creative director at Phillips. He starts in January and will work at all of the auction house’s offices.

He has previously worked in in senior marketing roles at the TATE and London’s V&A Museum.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Edward Dolman and his team and using my experience to help reinforce Phillips as a leading, global brand for contemporary art culture,” said Whitmore.

Phillips says Whitmore will work closely with Phillips CEO Edward Dolman and the management team to strengthen ‘the Phillips brand’.

“We are very excited to welcome Damien to the team, his expertise in the branding of contemporary, design and cultural institutions will help evolve and develop Phillips and it’s unique brand internationally,” said Edward Dolman, CEO of Phillips.

Phillip’s had strong contemporary art autumn sales this year.
