A selling exhibition of prints and multiples by Pablo Picasso takes place at Sotheby’s Hong Kong from November 10 to 19. Featuring 42 editioned works dated from 1905 to the 1970s, the exhibition offers a selection of etchings, linoleum cuts, lithographs and ceramics as well as one very rare sterling silver plate designed by the artist.

The selection of works spans more than seven decades of Picasso’s prolific career and demonstrates his skill with multiple art forms in a wide range of styles.

Mary Bartow, senior vice president, head of prints department, Sotheby’s New York, commented: “The market has been consistently showing tat the one artist who has continued to be strong and hold value is Pablo Picasso. Last week in New York Sotheby’s held a very successful single owner auction of Picasso prints and ceramics and there was much spirited and competitive bidding, primarily from private collectors worldwide.

Several world records were achieved. We are equally pleased to be offering a selection of wonderful prints and ceramics in this very special selling exhibition in our Hong Kong gallery. It provides a unique opportunity to own important original works of art by the most important artist of the 20th Centry.”
