Sotheby’s takes sculptures Beyond Limits at Chatsworth House

Sotheby’s is exhibiting 20 monumental sculptures at Chatsworth House in England as part of its annual Beyond Limits exhibition.

The exhibition include work by Jaume Plensa, Manolo Valdés, Mario Merz, Juan Muñoz, Marc Quinn, and Thomas Heatherwick.

UK artists taking part comprise Bill Woodrow, Tony Cragg and Allen Jones. Jones had a sculpture commissioned for the exhibition.

The sculptures include ones made from bronze, stone, fibre glass,aluminum, steel and acrylic.

The market for these dramatic outdoor works of art is becoming increasingly global, with buyers from Asia, Russia and the Middle East now collecting in this sphere,” said Alexander Platon,Sotheby’s Head of Private Sales, Europe. “There is no better setting in the world than the historic gardens of Chatsworth House, where, this year, we are delighted to showcase a stellar group of works by some of the world’s leading contemporary sculptors.”

Works can be purchased by private sale from Sotheby’s.
